Native Prophecy and the Bahá'í Faith

Apache (Chiricahua, Lipan and Jicarilla), Pueblo (Taos and Isleta), and Yaqui, Roman Orona is a member of the Bahá‘í Faith, and his goal is to teach balance in all aspects of life: world peace, equality of men and women, environmental and cultural preservation, racial equality and the abandonment of all forms of prejudice. He is a Native American performer (dancer, singer, flutist), producer, director, podcaster, and owner of iamHUMAN Media. iamHUMAN Media is a national nonprofit that develops programs to address social discourse, create community, and unite humanity through the arts.

In 2016, Roman was awarded the Best Male Vocalist Award at the Native American Music Awards for his album Circling Spirits. More recently Roman released Invocations, which combines Native American singing with Bahá’í prayers. He also re-released a drum-only instrumental album titled Drum Awakenings and his first flute album Soul Awakenings, which combines the drumming from Drum Awakenings with the Native American flute. Roman also hosts a weekly podcast called The Indigenous Cafe Podcast, which plays indigenous music from around the world and discusses virtues and or quotations to better society.
